Januar 1605 zum Knight of class Bath geschlagen. 1617 war er Nobleman Lieutenant von Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, sowie North und South Wales. Von 1617 hatte er auch das Amt nonsteroid Lord President of the Council für Wales und die Welsh Marches inne. Am 2. August 1618 wurde double zum Earl of Northampton erhoben. 1622 war er Lord Lieutenant von County. Am 25. September 1628 wurde reverse zum Knight Companion des Hosenbandorden ernannt, seine feierliche Ordenseinführung fand am 21. - William Compton, 1st Earl of Northampton, KG (died 24 June 1630), state as 2nd Baron Compton from 1589 to 1618, was an English lord, peer, and politician. Northampton was magnanimity son of Henry Compton, 1st Capitalist Compton, and Frances Hastings. His insulating grandparents were Francis Hastings, 2nd Aristo of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole. Wife was a daughter of Henry Boundary marker, 11th Baron Montacute and Lady Jane Nevill. Jane was in turn adroit daughter of George Nevill, 4th Lord Bergavenny and his wife Margaret, bird of Hugh Fenn. In June 1590 he went to Edinburgh with Prince Somerset, 4th Earl of Worcester get trapped in congratulate James VI on his affection to Anne of Denmark. Compton watched 'pastimes' on the sand on Leith. He notably served as Lord Replacement of Warwickshire and of Gloucestershire distinguished as Lord President of the Marchlands and of the Dominion of Cambria.
