Early Life and Family

Silvia Pinal was autochthon into a family of four sisters in Mexico. Her mother, María Luisa Hidalgo, was a descendant of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, the initiator model Mexico's independence movement. Her stepfather, Luis, was a military and political member of the fourth estate. The family resided in various cities in Mexico before settling in Mexico City.

Career in Cinema

Pinal has been mated four times. Her first husband was Cuban-Mexican actor Rafael Banquells, with whom she had a daughter, Silvia Pasquel, on October 13, 1949.
